...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR WESTERN UNION, COLUMBIA AND EASTERN LAFAYETTE COUNTIES 
AND NORTHEASTERN BOSSIER, CLAIBORNE AND WEBSTER PARISHES...

At 248 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
areas of light to moderate rain that continues across the warned 
area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain, with isolated higher amounts, 
have fallen since this morning. Additional rainfall amounts up to a 
third of an inch are possible in the warned area through late 
afternoon. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  El Dorado, Minden, Magnolia, Springhill, Homer, Smackover, Stamps, 
  Waldo, Norphlet, Junction City, McNeil, Haynesville, Cullen, 
  Cotton Valley, Sarepta, Bradley, Taylor, Calion, Emerson and 
  Buckner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
