The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern De Baca County in east central New Mexico...
  Western Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
  North Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 915 PM MDT.

* At 713 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of Eastern De Baca, Western Roosevelt and North 
  Central Chaves Counties.

Bojax Road, San Patricio Road and Tinnie Road may be impacted by 
flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
